How colon cancer is diagnosed

You might notice changes in your body. There are lots of possible causes for different symptoms, so it’s important to know what to look out for. If your doctor wants to find out more they might organise different tests or scans.

  • Tests and scans

Your medical team will use different tests and scans to see if you have cancer. They may also use them to find out more about the cancer.

  • Bowel screening

Bowel screening helps cancer to be spotted early, which is when treatment can be most successful.
