What we do

We take the time to understand you as a person, so that we can provide the support, tools and inspiration you need to find your best way through. We do it like this because we understand everyone's cancer journey is unique.

  • Our ambition

We’re here to help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you’re able to live life as fully as you can.

  • How we work

We’re here for you. Find out how we make sure we’re offering the best information, advice and resources for everyone.

  • Understanding the evidence

Macmillan’s research helps us, and others, understand the needs and experiences of people affected by cancer, to develop and influence better care and services.

  • We make change happen

We find out what matters to people affected by cancer, and fight for the best deal. We help shape policies and work with the government to improve lives.

  • Training courses

Macmillan offers a range of free courses, workshops and e-learning for people affected by cancer, including carers, family members, volunteers and community members.

  • 2017 annual report and accounts

In 2017 we estimate 1.6m people received personal, high impact support from our Macmillan professionals or services. Our annual report and accounts explain more about how we did this.
