About the Technology directorate
The Technology directorate is made up of the following teams and divisions.
Engineering
The Engineering Division covers the range of technology delivery and operational capabilities. The teams build, run and support the core systems the underpin the business and technologies provided to staff.
Within Engineering, there is:
- The Cloud and Operations team are responsible for Macmillan’s Microsoft Azure Platform. This includes digital development projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- The Strategy and Architecture provide solution and data architecture skills for projects and initiatives. The team defines and maintains the understanding of the current and future state ambitions. They work with business and information technology leaders to ensure that we are continuously moving to the future state.
Information Security
The Information Security are involved in all business processes at Macmillan. They make decisions through risk assessments and ensuring robust protection of our systems and data.
They carefully balance cost and benefit in our cyber security investments. This ensures that our resources are used effectively to safeguard sensitive information.
Data Governance and Operations
The Data Governance and Operations division consists of two distinct areas.
- The Data Governance and Quality team oversee data changes across Macmillan. They manage the development and maintenance of data policies, processes, and standards.
- The Data Delivery team use the data to facilitate customer selection for marketing campaigns.
Technology Supplier Management
The Technology supplier Management oversees all contracts and relationships with technology suppliers. They collaborate with other teams in technology, finance, procurement, and legal experts.
Through tracking agreements and fostering supplier partnerships, they streamline operations, reduce costs, and ultimately direct more resources toward supporting people living with cancer.
