About the Finance and Operations directorate
The directorate provides solution-based information, insights and measurements. They empower risk-based, data-led decision making at Macmillan.
The role of Finance and Operations is to ensure we remain a sustainable, resilient and flexible organisation. They are expert advisors who deliver practical and effective operations. They also support our organisation objectives and partners.
The directorate is made up of the following divisions and teams.
Insight and Performance
The Insight and Performance teams generates evidence and insights. These help us to understand the needs and experiences of people living with cancer, the healthcare system and our supporters. They also enable us to show how we are progressing and achieving our strategic aims and objectives.
Finance and Procurement
This team of experts manage our financial resources. They ensure we can continue to support people living with cancer now and in the future.
Risk division
The Risk division puts safeguards in place to reduce potential negative consequences from Macmillan activities.
The Strategy and Transform team
The Strategy and Transform team shape our organisation strategy. They bring it to life by turning ideas into real-world impact with the right people, plans and priorities.
Legal
Our Legal team support the organisation with practical legal advice. They help us ensure the charity's assets and reputation are protected. They ensure we follow legal and regulatory requirements.
Business Operations
Business Operations supports our directorates to deliver Macmillan's strategic objectives. They manage contracts for grants and adoptions. The team works alongside colleagues to deliver our learning offers. Business Operations also leads on continuous improvement work across the organisation.
