Anniversary fundraising ideas

Whether you're celebrating your wedding or partnership anniversary or another special date, make Macmillan part of it.

It's easy to support Macmillan through your celebrations in the way that's right for you and your loved ones. Check out some of our ideas below.

Set up an online fundraising page

Ask people to make a donation to Macmillan instead of giving gifts or flowers. You can set up a JustGiving page which makes it easy for your loved ones to donate and leave a message of congratulations. JustGiving automatically collects Gift Aid for any eligible donations, helping to boost your fundraising total with no additional effort.

Hold a collection

If you're holding a celebratory gathering for your anniversary, why not place a collection box or bucket on your gift table or at the entrance to your party. Take a look at our collection box options on our website – it's easy to order one in time for your special day.

Add a quiz or a game

If you feel like adding an element of fun to your anniversary fundraising, you could set up a game or quiz that your guests can pay to enter, with a prize for the winner. For example, a quiz on your life together or who knows you the best can be very entertaining – and competitive!

For celebrations organised to mark the founding date of your organisation or business, why not theme a game or a quiz around facts and stories about your club, company or staff/members?

If you have a cake made in honour of the occasion, why not add a fundraising twist and ask guests to guess the weight of the cake in exchange for a donation?
