Lynda Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, will be leaving Macmillan later this month after more than 20 years with the charity.  She would like to thank all Macmillan volunteers for everything they do and for the many ways they support people living with cancer.

Our volunteers have had some amazing achievements

During Lynda’s time at Macmillan, our volunteers have continued to do extraordinary things to support the three million people living with cancer.

Over the years she has benefitted first-hand from seeing the sea of green volunteers cheering at many Macmillan events, which she described "...as a humbling experience."

Lynda also pays tribute to the emotional support volunteers provide through opportunities like the Macmillan Buddy Service.

“You are all amazing, volunteering is the lifeblood and the heartbeat of this organisation.” Lynda

“Thank you for welcoming me into your community and doing so much to support me during my time as Chief Executive."
