Supporting team Macmillan
Over 150 of our volunteers lined the streets of London - joined by our new Chief Executive Gemma Peters - to cheer on the 850 Macmillan supporters taking part in the London Marathon.

Gemma commented on the day: "It was lovely to meet some of our brilliant volunteers and cheer alongside them, giving our Macmillan runners a much-needed boost as they approached the finish line. I felt so proud to be part of the sea of green and put a smile on the faces of our runners who we’re hoping will raise over £1 million through their efforts to help us do whatever it takes for people living with cancer.”
“The marathon is a great example of the impact that our Macmillan volunteers can have; they create a fantastic atmosphere, help to raise awareness of our brand and give our Macmillan runners and great experience of taking part in a challenge event for Macmillan. Ultimately, they help us to have a greater impact for people living with cancer.
