We’re thrilled to introduce Carrol Pollock and Matt Howard-Murray as the new Chair and Deputy Chair of our UK Volunteer Forum.
Carrol (front row, first from right) and Matt (back row, second from left) are the new UK Volunteer Forum Chair and Deputy Chair.

Carrol (front row, first from the right) brings a wealth of experience to the role as a Forum member, former Scottish Forum chair, and the head of Falkirk Friends Fundraising Committee and an Action Team member.

Matt (back row, second from the left) is also part of the UK Forum and actively involved in Cancer Voices.

We’ve had a number of fantastic candidates and we want to thank everyone who has stepped up for either role.

Carrol and Matt will begin settling into their new roles immediately, starting with the next face to face Forum meeting on 17 October 2023. Their priorities will include growing engagement of volunteers and staff in the Volunteer Voice Network, identifying key themes from the Volunteer Experience Survey and planning priorities for 2024.

We look forward to working together with Carrol, Matt and all UK Forum members to make sure that volunteer voices are always heard, because they play a crucial role in shaping the future of Macmillan volunteering.

We are so happy to have them both on board and wish them good luck in their roles.
