Rapid referral guidelines for suspected cancer (NG12) by cancer type

The Rapid Referral Guidelines are produced by Macmillan Cancer Support. They are a NICE-endorsed summary of the NG12 Guidelines for Suspected Cancer Referral, with accompanying notes from Macmillan GPs and GP advisers.

The guidelines have been developed by GPs for GPs with the aim of providing GPs with support, guidance and practical referral recommendations (for example, by giving an overview of the two week wait / 2ww criteria for many of the most common cancer types). We’ll maintain the content of the guidelines and make updates available on our website.

The Macmillan Rapid Referral Guidelines are specific to England. However, the NHS has issued separate referral guidelines for Scotland.
