Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England joins Macmillan Cancer Support’s Board of Trustees
Macmillan Cancer Support is pleased to announce Acosia Nyanin, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England — Professional and System Leadership at NHS England, as the newest member of their Board of Trustees.
Macmillan Cancer Support is pleased to announce Acosia Nyanin, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England — Professional and System Leadership at NHS England, as the newest member of their Board of Trustees.
Acosia is a registered Mental Health Nurse who has dedicated her career to providing person centred care and improving outcomes for patients. She has held a wide variety of clinical and leadership roles in the NHS and wider health and care system.
Acosia Nyanin said: “I feel privileged to be appointed to Macmillan’s Board of Trustees. I am inspired by Macmillan’s work to support people with cancer and their loved ones, and by the support and professional development they offer to health and social care professionals, including nurses. I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge of and passion for person-centred care to help shape Macmillan’s future plans.”
Richard Murley, Chair of Macmillan’s Board of Trustees added: “We are delighted to welcome Acosia to Macmillan. During the recruitment process we were particularly impressed with Acosia’s experience of working in different community settings, coupled with her passion for person-centred care and the health and social care workforce, which will greatly benefit our future work.”
