Camilla, Countess of Halifax, has been a passionate and committed supporter of Macmillan since the 1970s. During that time she has given her all to help raise millions of pounds to improve cancer care services in Yorkshire and across the UK.

To be honoured with Macmillan’s Lifetime Achievement Award, a recipient will have brought their experiences, their expertise, and their time to Macmillan in a number of different ways. Often spanning many years, their impact on the organisation and on people living with cancer is hugely significant and cherished. In 2023 Lady Halifax received this prestigious award.

Camilla, Countess of Halifax, has been a passionate and committed supporter of Macmillan since the 1970s and generously served as Macmillan’s President since 2003. Following 20 years of outstanding volunteer leadership as President, Lady Halifax retired from the role at the end of 2022.

In her time as President, and over many years before, Lady Halifax has given her time to help raise millions of pounds to improve cancer care services in Yorkshire and across the UK. She has delivered this with passion, rigour and heart, a dedication that has transformed the quality of cancer care for thousands of people living with cancer.

Camilla remains deeply committed to continuing to support Macmillan’s work, both in a fundraising capacity and in her ongoing role as a Macmillan Volunteer Buddy.

Lady Halifax’s commitment and dedication to people living with cancer has been, and continues to be, extraordinary.
