Follow the Stars - A Celebration of Christmas

Join us

Celebrate the festive season with a stellar cast of renowned musicians and A-list celebrities for a Carol Concert, re-imagined for 2020, which is being streamed online free to all and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.

“Let’s raise a glass to the wonderful work of Macmillan”, says Joanna Lumley, as she welcomes you to the event.

To add to the Christmas sparkle you will enjoy performances from Sinead Cusack, Stephen Fry, Toby Jones, Jeremy Irons, Greg Wise, Benjamin Zephaniah, and many more. Watch out for the nation's favourite, In the Bleak Midwinter by chorister Paddy Armstrong, Roderick Williams' spell-binding recital of The Three Kings and many other funny, poignant and heart-moving performances from much-loved actors, poets and musicians.

Put 8pm on 11 December in your diary and why not tell your friends and family to join you for the premiere (in whatever way they can!) and help us raise urgently needed funds for Macmillan.

The event will be available to stream from 11 December - 31 December, 2020.

For 2020 we have created Follow the Stars, a virtual concert which can be enjoyed throughout December and available to watch by many thousands. All donations go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

In 2021, A Celebration of Christmas will reach an important milestone – its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a major production is planned and a new Christmas carol will be written by one of the UK’s most renowned composers. Tickets will go on sale early in the Autumn as seating in Christ Church Cathedral is limited and demand is expected to be high.

The benefits of being A Celebration of Christmas Supporter include advance notice of tickets, an invitation to a private reception and priority entry into the Cathedral on the night of the concert.

Join our star-studded

Christmas carol concert. Streaming free to all until 31 December
