David Emanuel

David Emanuel became a household name having been the co-designer of the wedding gown for H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, whose marriage to H.R.H Prince Charles was watched by an estimated global audience of 750 million people.

David was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012 and talks warmly about the support that his Macmillan nurses provided throughout his treatment, affectionately referring to them as his 'Macmillanettes'.

Becoming an Ambassador for Macmillan in 2014, David has lent his support to the charity in a huge number of ways. From launching a new Macmillan programme in his home county of Berkshire, attending one of our biggest fundraising events – York Race Day – where he also donated a one-off design for auction, through to hosting his own World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which has become a bit of an annual Welsh institution. David has also put his design talents to use by creating an exclusive Christmas card which is available to buy through the Macmillan shop.
