Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service - Carmarthen

The Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Cancer Information and Support Service (CISS) is a non-clinical service that provides cancer information and signposting to aid and support anyone that is impacted by a cancer diagnosis. The Service is health board wide, covering the three counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, and located across all four hospital sites within Hywel Dda University Health Board.

CISS works in partnership with Macmillan and other local and national cancer support services to provide the best tailored support to meet your individual needs.

Services provided by CISS

• Access to a CISS Officer to discuss your support needs
• Cancer Information leaflets (provided in other languages)
• Signposting to benefits and financial advice.
• Information regarding support for carers
• Information and signposting (where appropriate) to local and national support services
• Signposting to local practical support
• Information and referral to Cancer and Psychological Support Service (CaPS) for psychological support (where appropriate)
