Information and support centres

During the COVID-19 pandemic we ask people to call or email to check opening times. From 1 Feb the centre will only be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays with volunteer cover 10am - 2pm, phone and email contact on the other days. We are here, and we are based in the Lower Ground Floor Outpatients Atrium (between Lift Bank C and D)—follow the signage to the Lower Ground Floor Outpatients Department to find us. Only one person may visit at a time—this is for your protection and ours, and we will ask you to wear a face covering. We can provide cancer information, emotional and confidential one-to-one support to anyone affected by cancer. We usually offer complementary therapies and counselling, but our therapy services have stopped until it is safe for us to resume. Counselling may resume in September. Please call us for an update. Because of the different ways we are now working, as well as contacting us by phone for support (9am–5pm weekdays) or coming by if you are in the hospital for an appointment, we are using a YouTube channel to promote your wellbeing at home. Our new YouTube channel is designed with you in mind. We have collaborated with cancer specialists, our complementary therapists, and our hospital charity CW+ to bring you a variety of wellbeing topics. We are also offering chair-based exercises to help keep you active if you are at home and shielding. YouTube Link: Web link:
