Information and support centres

The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre at Manchester Royal Infirmary is a confidential, free service for anyone affected by cancer, including patients, carers, professionals and the general public. We aim to ensure that everyone affected by cancer has access to relevant information and appropriate support. The service offers the opportunity to talk in confidence about what you are going through in a supportive, private and relaxing environment. Anyone can access the service for information and support with any aspect of cancer. You can use our centre to talk to our staff and volunteers about any concerns you may have or access our varied information booklets to take away with you. No appointment is necessary but if you are making a special journey to the centre, we recommend that you contact us beforehand to ensure that we have adequate staff available. We also offer information and support over the phone and via email. The service also offers emotional support but please note some restrictions apply for referral to our benefit advice and counselling service please contact us to discuss. Please note that we close at 12.30pm on the last Wednesday of each month for team meetings.
