Alongside her incredibly successful career, Suki was a trustee for Macmillan for nine years; ours was a charity very close to her heart. In the final weeks of her life, Suki was quoted as saying,
‘Macmillan has been such an important charity for me. As a trustee for nine years, I witnessed first-hand the extraordinary work they do. Now, as I come to the end of my own journey, the support they are giving me and my family is incredible.’
In recognition of that support, and in the final few months of her life, Suki, with her family and close friends launched three fundraisers with the goal to raise £25,000 for Macmillan. ‘Suki's steps’ was a 10-mile trek along the Chess Valley Walk and ‘Suki's swim’ was held at Perranporth Beach in Cornwall. An online auction was also organised with packages donated by friends. Those events raised well over £200,000 from over 1300 supporters. Since the initial fundraisers, some of Suki’s family have also held fundraisers.

What’s next in this amazing story?
During her incredibly successful career in marketing services, Suki hosted an inspirational podcast series called ‘Reset’; conversations with extraordinary people that offered inspiration and advice to help lead a more fulfilling life. Though she left us far too soon, Suki’s legacy lives on in so many of those brilliant conversations and so many of the lives she touched.
And it is those conversations that have now been brought to life in a very special book, ‘Every Day is a Gift’. This was a theme that Suki adopted as she neared the end of her journey, reminding us all, in her last few precious months, that life is there for living. So, it’s fitting that this new book celebrates that and brings together some of the most moving and thought-provoking moments from Suki’s podcast series. Conversations recorded about life, purpose, connection, and growth. Suki had an extraordinary ability to bring people together and to draw out their stories, helping others see the world, and themselves, a little more clearly. She believed deeply in the power of learning from others, and this book invites you to do just that. Every page is a reminder that life, in all its complexity and beauty, is indeed a gift.
We are very proud that all proceeds from the sale of this book will be going to our charity, one that was so incredibly close to dear Suki’s heart and for which she did so much. We’d love you to buy a book, be inspired and help us continue the work we do.
