FAQs

Is there a registration fee?

No, it is free to take part. There is no registration fee and no minimum fundraising target.
How much should I charge for each event?

That's entirely up to you. You can set any amount you like for goals, yellow cards, penalties, VAR reviews and other match events. Whether it's 50p per goal or £10 per red card, you're in control.
Do all guests need to donate?

No. The Maccumulator is designed to be flexible. You can split the total between those who have consented to fundraise, collect donations throughout the game, or make the donation yourself.
What match events can be included?
Your base Maccumulator will include:

Goals

Yellow cards

Red cards

Penalties awarded

VAR reviews

Extra time

Penalty shoot-outs

However, if you want to extend it to more markets at your discretion, feel free to!
How do I donate my final total?

Once the match has finished and you've calculated your total, simply scan the QR code on your Maccumulator sheet to make your donation.
Can I host my Maccumulator at a pub or community venue?

Absolutely. You can host your Maccumulator wherever you're watching the football, whether that's at home, in a garden, at work, in a local venue or online with friends and family.
Can children take part?

Children can join in with tracking the match and tallying events, but any donations should be made by an adult.
Is the Maccumulator a form of gambling?

No. The Maccumulator is a fundraising activity, not gambling. Participants are not placing bets or competing to win money. Instead, donations are linked to events that occur during the match to help improve the lives of people living with cancer.

No. Maccumulator is an independent fundraising challenge created by Macmillan Cancer Support. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with FIFA or the FIFA World Cup™.
