Indoor rowing challenge
Whether it's a relay rowing challenge or a single-handed virtual row across the Atlantic Ocean, or the length of the River Thames, indoor rowing is a brilliant charity challenge where you can rack up those nautical miles.
Why not turn it into a bigger charity event with the help of your local gym?
The advantage for indoor rowers is that weather conditions aren't going to get in the way of your challenge. It is also a great challenge for young people and older rowers alike.
Outdoor rowing challenge
Outdoor rowing challenges will take a bit of extra planning but are a great way of getting fit and out on the water while raising vital funds for Macmillan.
Rather than an indoor rowing machine, your first challenge is going to be finding a suitable rowing boat! And if you want your fundraiser to be more of a regatta than a solo challenge then your first stop should probably be your local rowing club.
Your impact
In 2020, our supporters raised over £750,000 by doing their own physical challenges, including rowing challenges. That money in the future could support our Cancer Information and Support team to run our Macmillan Support Line phone service for 5 months. In this time, they could deal with over 40,000 calls and web enquiries from people who want questions answered, need practical or financial support, or just want to chat.
