About The Event
Sign up for Chase The Sun 2026 and ride across Ireland in one day from dawn to dusk. The event is a ride, not a race, bringing together a community of likeminded cyclists as they attempt this extraordinary challenge.
Starting at the historic Titanic docks of Belfast, this 209 mile route has 3,100 meters of elevation. Departing from the Irish Sea, your ride will take you on an exploration of mythical landscapes and landmarks of the Emerald Isle, along dramatic coastal roads and the Antrim Glens. You will see breath-taking forests, peaks and loughs before crossing the border of Northern and Republic of Ireland to catch the sunset on the Wild Atlantic Way beaches of Enniscrone.
How to enter Chase the Sun Ireland 2026
Secure a Team Macmillan place
We offer exclusive charity places for Chase The Sun across all three locations. We ask for a £89 entry fee and a minimum fundraising pledge of £400 (excluding gift aid). This is a saving of over 40% against the popular Ride Plus+ event entry package. It includes:

The route has no signs, timings, rules, or rankings, making it a physical, motivational, and navigational challenge.
You will be sent detailed navigational advice including route guides with turn-by-turn route maps for your bike computer or smartphone and a minute-by-minute scheduling to ensure you pace yourself across the route and arrive at the west coast before sunset. Designated rest stops for food, drinks and mechanical assistance, are all provided along the way to help you across an epic day.
