Backing breakthroughs: what is Macmillan Ventures?
The goal of Macmillan Ventures is simple: to uncover the most promising innovations in cancer care and ensure they deliver life-changing impact for as many people affected by cancer as possible. Today the opportunity has never been greater. The digital revolution has transformed the modern world. Now we want it to transform cancer care by investing in groundbreaking start-ups.
In 2023, Macmillan launched its £3.5 million pilot Impact Investment Fund to invest in start-ups developing technology and products that could radically improve cancer diagnosis. Following its successful completion, our ambition is to scale this to £30 million, working hand-in-hand with philanthropists and partners to make this a reality.
