Gillian Horne is senior medical editor at Macmillan for information about leukaemia. She is a Joan Snodgrass senior clinical research fellow and honorary consultant in molecular diagnostics and leukaemia at the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, University of Glasgow.
Her clinical interests are within acute leukaemia and myeloid disorders, particularly relating to diagnostics and targeted treatments in adolescent and adult patients.
She is a core member of the UK CML clinical trials subgroup, the UK adult ALL clinical trials subgroup where she focusses on Ph+ ALL, a member of the UK Childhood Leukaemia Clinical Trials Study Group for Ph+ALL, and sits on the BCSH TYA SIG. She leads a scientific group within the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre that focusses on Ph+ leukaemias and leads several scientific studies in this area with multiple publications and international presentations within this scientific and clinical field.
