Dany Bell
Dany is a strategic adviser for treatment, new medicines and genomics at Macmillan, and part of the Centre of Clinical Expertise team.
Dany's background
Dany has over 40 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with 31 years in the NHS working as a ward manager in surgical oncology and hospice care, head of specialist palliative care, and head of operations in a large acute leading projects and operational change and service improvements and ensuring evidence-based practice and services. Dany has 10 years’ experience leading cancer services as lead cancer nurse and cancer manager as a joint role leading strategic direction for cancer services and day to day operational management of performance and quality.
Dany has considerable experience leading services, service redesign and patient involvement, as well as the skills and knowledge required by the nursing workforce in cancer and palliative care, including development and delivery of education and training for specialist cancer nursing workforce. She is a strategic adviser for treatment, new medicines and genomics for Macmillan Cancer Support, an internal coach in Macmillan’s coaching academy and a sits on the clinical advisory board for the mental health charity Safe in our World.
