Macmillan Cancer Information And Support Hub - Watford, Hertfordshire
Information and Support Centres | | Hospital
We offer information and support to anyone affected by cancer. We are a warm and friendly drop-in centre, welcoming patients, their families and friends.
Visitors may want to learn about a type of cancer, get benefits advice, find help after being discharged, or simply talk to someone about how they’re feeling.
The centre is run by a Macmillan Information Manager and supported by trained volunteers who provide an essential service. They help visitors find the right booklet or drug factsheet, listen to their concerns, or signpost them to other organisations.
Volunteers also visit cancer in-patients on the wards and take telephone calls for nurses. We run a range of wellbeing and recovery workshops.
If you're travelling to the hospital just to visit the centre, please call ahead to check we’ll be available.
