Our partnership
Since the partnership began in May 2026, first direct colleagues have been actively supporting Macmillan through a range of fundraising, volunteering and awareness-raising activities, helping us continue to provide vital services and support to those who need it most.
The partnership brings colleagues together through meaningful initiatives and events. From taking part in challenges such as Mighty Hikes to supporting wider partnership activities, colleagues are making a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
As our partnership grows, we are excited to build on our shared commitment to engage colleagues, raise vital funds and make a lasting impact for people living with cancer across the UK.
Leeds Pride 2026
In July 2026, to celebrate the launch of our partnership, Macmillan joined first direct at Leeds Pride, engaging with hundreds of attendees through meaningful conversations about cancer support and equitable healthcare.
The event also featured Macmillan’s Fair Cancer Care campaign, encouraging people to share their vision for safe, inclusive and compassionate care for all.
Coffee Morning
Colleagues came together across the Leeds and Maxim offices to support the 2026 Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising an impressive £1,541.
CEO Chris also took on a 170-mile cycling challenge from Morecambe to Bridlington over three days, raising a further £2,416 for Macmillan.
Together, these efforts raised a total of £3,957, demonstrating colleagues’ generosity and strong commitment to supporting Macmillan through the partnership.
