Professor Tim Eisen

Tim joined Macmillan’s Board in December 2011 and is a member of the Nominations Committee and the Charitable Expenditure Committee.

He is Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Cambridge and Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Tim is a clinical triallist interested in developing new treatments for advanced disease, identifying and managing those at risk of disease. His special focus is now kidney cancer. He has published extensively and lectured at many national and international conferences on kidney cancer, lung cancer and melanoma. 

Tim is currently on part-time leave of absence from the University of Cambridge to work as Global GU Oncology Franchise Head, Roche Genentech. Up to March 2020 he was head of a team delivering early clinical trials in oncology at AstraZeneca.
