Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this morning setting out the government’s “plan for change” at this “NHS milestone”, Gemma Peters, Chief Executive Officer at Macmillan Cancer Support, says:
“We welcome the Prime Minister’s ambitious commitment to meeting the target for NHS waiting lists for routine operations and appointments in England. This could make a huge difference to the hundreds of thousands of people who are being forced to wait far too long. We look forward to working with the government to deliver the same commitment and approach to cancer waiting lists.”
