Tiger de Souza MBE, Chief People and Culture Officer
Tiger's role
Tiger is responsible for shaping the culture and people strategy that enables Macmillan to deliver its mission at scale. That means everything from how we attract and develop the right people, to how we make pay fair and transparent, to how we build a truly inclusive organisation where everyone can thrive.
He leads Macmillan's People and Culture Directorate and plays a central role in making Macmillan a great place to work - not just in aspiration, but in practice.
Career and credentials
Tiger joined Macmillan in July 2026. He was previously Executive Director of People and Culture at Samaritans, where as part of the Executive team, he was leading a major organisational transformation programme across a federated network of more than 200 branches and a large volunteer workforce.
Before that, Tiger spent five years as People Engagement Director at the National Trust, leading inclusion transformation and people engagement strategy across one of the UK's largest charities, with more than 10,000 staff and 50,000 volunteers.
Tiger is a recognised thought leader in his field, named in HR Magazine's Top 10 Most Influential Practitioners list for three consecutive years, and one of the d&i Leaders Top 100 Inspirational Leaders in 2025. He was awarded an MBE in 2020 for services to volunteering.
