*Due to Covid-19, please get in touch with us by phone on 0161 276 6868 or email us at to check our opening times and availability before visiting our Centre*. The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service is based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and supports Manchester Hospitals on Oxford Road and in Trafford. We are a drop-in centre, offering a confidential, free service for anyone affected by cancer, including patients, carers, professionals and the general public. We aim to ensure that everyone affected by cancer has access to relevant information and appropriate support. The service offers the opportunity to talk in confidence about what you are going through in a supportive, private and relaxing environment. Anyone can access the service for information and support with any aspect of cancer. You can use our centre to talk to our staff about any concerns you may have or access our varied information booklets to take away with you. We can make referrals into specialist Macmillan benefits services, counselling services and various other forms of local and national support. We also offer information and support over the telephone, virtually and by email. No appointment is necessary but if you are making a special journey to the centre, we recommend that you contact us beforehand to ensure that we have adequate staff available. Please note that we close at 12.30pm on the last Wednesday of each month for team meetings.
