La Roche-Posay – Our partnership

We are delighted to launch our new partnership with La Roche-Posay in 2022.

Our partnership

La Roche-Posay is a leading skincare brand that is currently recognised as the #1 Dermatologist Recommended brand in the UK for cosmetic use in people with general skin conditions*. For over 40 years, La Roche-Posay has worked with dermatologists throughout the world to develop skincare products that address a wide range of skin needs, including sensitive skin.

La Roche-Posay is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and the vital work it does to support people living with cancer. Working in partnership, La Roche-Posay and Macmillan aim to provide information on the side effects of cancer treatment on skin and ways to alleviate these.

Skin side effects

Many people may experience adverse skin side effects or changes to their skin as a result of their cancer treatment.

Dany Bell, Treatment and Medicines Advisor at Macmillan Cancer Support, says ‘Certain cancer treatments can have a huge impact on people’s skin, leading to a number of unpleasant side effects such as irritation, dryness and spots. For many, this can make an already very difficult time even worse.

‘At Macmillan, we are doing whatever it takes to make sure people with cancer have the support they need, which is why we are so delighted to be working with La Roche-Posay. Together, we're ensuring more people with cancer are supported with the right advice and options to soothe and relieve their skin, which can make a world of difference as they go through treatment.’

Working together in partnership

La Roche Posay is committed to improving the experience of people living with cancer by donating £250,000 to Macmillan in 2022.

Our partnership aims to provide information on the side effects of cancer treatment on skin and ways to alleviate these by communicating with the public on our websites, social media channels and in Boots stores. We are also exploring new opportunities to work together with Macmillan Professionals and people living with cancer.

Macmillan’s participation in this partnership does not constitute an endorsement of La Roche-Posay or L’Oreal products. *A+A study of 78 consultant dermatologists (Jan - March 2021). For more info visit the La Roche-Posay website.
