Adam Uttley

Chief Financial Officer

Adam's strategy

Adam's goal at Macmillan is to make sure the organisation is legal, compliant and manages its finances and data effectively and efficiently. Adam brings fresh insight and a wealth of knowledge to Macmillan as well as encouraging everyone in the organisation to take ownership of our results.

Career and credentials

With a degree in physics from King's College London, Adam has followed a career as a Chartered Management Accountant. Adam’s previous roles include Group Chief Financial Officer at Fresh Direct Group, Finance Director of the Brakes Group, as well as roles at BT, BMI Healthcare and Imperial College London.

The non-work stuff

Adam lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Liz and two daughters, aged seven and four. Away from work and family, Adam can be found on the golf course and, although competitive (with a handicap of 4), Adam loves discovering new courses around the world. It is rare for a family holiday not to be close to a good golf course. Adam’s other passion is sustainable energy and he hopes to completely ween himself off fossil fuels as soon as possible.
