Senior Evidence Manager for Change and Improvement

Claire was appointed Senior Evidence Manager for Change and Improvement in January 2015. She leads on identifying opportunities to improve the use of evidence within Macmillan for strategic decision-making, service development and improvement. She is improving the department’s working processes to facilitate this.

She is responsible for ensuring appropriate evidence input into key change and other strategic programmes. Claire also leads the agenda to mobilise evidence and learning-based knowledge for our Operations, Policy and Impact Directorates.

Claire first joined Macmillan in April 2013 as the knowledge and insight lead within the Evidence department. She developed and managed Macmillan's in-house capability to deliver strategic insight and intelligence for business application, and approaches to managing evidence-based knowledge.

Prior to this, Claire spent 12 years in the public sector in various research, business intelligence, service development, improvement, performance management and strategic commissioning roles across adult social care, children and young people's services and regeneration. Claire studied sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and started her career in academic research and management consultancy in the not for profit social care sector.
