Bladder and kidneys - image description

The diagram shows the position of the two kidneys in the body, one on each side. The kidneys are shaped like a bean and are positioned just above the level of the belly button. From each of the kidneys a tube called the ureter leads into the bladder. The bladder is positioned in the lower part of the abdomen (tummy area). Below the bladder is a single tube, called the urethra, that drains urine from the body.
