About the 2024 Tug of War event
Join us for one of the most unique events in the charity calendar, the House of Lords vs House of Commons Tug of War at Westminster Abbey College Gardens on Tuesday 4 June 2024.
The 2023 House of Lords vs House of Commons Tug of War raised over £130,000, enough to fund two clinical nurse specialists for the year. This year, we aim to continue to build on this incredible success – so whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
Set inside Westminster Abbey Gardens, just a stone’s throw from the Houses of Parliament, teams of 10 battle it out in the Tug of War arena at an event like no other. Gather your colleagues and take on the challenge of becoming the 2024 Tug of War champion overseen by our Tug of War officials and our celebrity host.
Each team competes in the best of three matches and, new for 2024, the winning teams will go through to a final match to see who will emerge victorious.
After a day’s work battling in Parliament, the evening culminates in the ultimate contest between the House of Lords and House of Commons to see who the brawn of Westminster really is.
Alongside the excitement of the matches, enjoy delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, and summer festivities.
By signing up to this year’s event you can expect the following benefits and more.
- Training plan for team members, team welcome pack with branded t-shirt and captain armbands.
- Company logo and team name on screens during matches.
- Choice of Tug of War arena entry music and introduction from the celebrity host. Previous hosts include Mark Pougatch and Jeremy Vine.
- Participation medals and winner’s trophies.
