Graham Jones, Chief People Officer
Graham's role
Graham is responsible for our Human Resources, Learning & Development and Volunteering departments. His teams support more than 1,700 employed colleagues and in addition the many thousands of volunteers who support people living with cancer when they need us most.
He is passionate about ensuring that Macmillan is a great place to work, believing strongly that having highly engaged people with common purpose who want to satisfy their career ambitions with us is the best way of ensuring great performance in fulfilling our goals.
Career and credentials
Graham joined Macmillan as Chief People Officer in September 2022. He is developing a transformational plan for ensuring that Macmillan enjoys great people services, that colleagues have a great experience whilst working at Macmillan, and that the conditions are set to optimise inclusivity and performance in everything we do.
Graham has worked at Board level in Human Resources for many years both in the UK and internationally in multiple sectors including automotive, financial services, recruitment, medical devices and property services. He has a strong track record of leading teams through both strategic and operational transformation and in delivering sustainable success.
The non-work stuff
Graham is married to Christina and lives in the Chilterns. He is a Geordie and his family still lives in Newcastle. He is a huge music lover and collects vinyl records as well as being a guitar player.
