Samantha Redmond

Strategic Insight Lead

Samantha leads the Strategic Insight team, Macmillan’s in-house capability that provides insight and evidence to support decision making for a wide range of internal teams. The team’s role is to bring a logical, evidence-based, structured-thinking approach to problem solving and decision making within Macmillan.

The team work closely with internal stakeholders in a consultative way, to scope and guide the definition of their insight and evidence needs. Additionally, they help stakeholders put learnings and recommendations into action.

Samantha joined Macmillan in October 2015. Since arriving she has been leading the delivery of situational analysis reports for the nine Macmillan Geographies. This work will provide the evidence base for the development of the Geographic Strategies.

Samantha’s prior experience includes private sector market research and media analysis agencies, followed by eight years within central government as Head of Insight at the Home Office and Cabinet Office.

Samantha lives in a little known part of south west London called St Margaret’s. She is a keen foodie, appreciator of, if not expert in, wine and tries to off-set these interests with a bit of running.
