Research at Macmillan Cancer Support
At Macmillan, we research the changing needs of people living with cancer and the people who support them. We do this to help us deliver services and campaigns, and do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer when they need us most.
What we research
How we do our research
We carry out our research by:
- analysing cancer data in partnership with the cancer registries and through analysis of public data
- conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research about people living with cancer
- evaluating services for people living with cancer.
Why our research helps
Our research helps us to:
- improve the services we provide to support people living with cancer in the right way and at the right time
- develop new services
- inform how we think the health and social care system needs to adapt and advocate for change.
- provide a summary of the latest published figures on cancer, patient experience and Macmillan's services in our Statistics fact sheet.
