Understanding the PSA test

This section aims to help you decide whether to have the PSA blood test. The test can't tell you whether or not you have prostate cancer|, but it's useful at indicating whether you need further investigations.

This section can help you if:

you've heard about the test and wonder if you should have it
you have no symptoms but just want to check that you don't have prostate cancer
you have symptoms that could be caused by prostate cancer.
