Find out how we produce our information|
Information on bladder cancer, including how it is diagnosed, treatments you might have, possible side effects and how to get further support.
This information is about both non-invasive bladder cancer|, and invasive and advanced bladder cancer|. Non-invasive bladder cancer is a cancer that is only in the inner lining of the bladder. Invasive bladder cancer is cancer that has spread into the deeper walls of the bladder. When the cancer has spread outside the bladder to other parts of the body, this is known as advanced bladder cancer.
Treatment for invasive and advanced bladder cancer is different to the treatment for non-invasive bladder cancer. It's important to know which you have, so ask your doctor or nurse if you're not sure.
