Macmillan and Cancerbackup have merged. Together we provide free, high quality information for all.
How we produce our information|
Around 13,000 people in the UK have pelvic radiotherapy for cancer each year. This section gives information about the possible long-term side effects of pelvic radiotherapy in women. We have a separate section for men who have had pelvic radiotherapy|.
It is important to be aware that you will not get all of the long-term side effects mentioned here. Many people only have mild, short-term side effects. It may help to read this section alongside information about your particular type of cancer and about radiotherapy|.
