Macmillan Legacy Garden: Growing a future for others
From the 9 to 12 May, we will be sponsoring the Macmillan Legacy Garden at Malvern Spring Festival.
The garden has been designed to illustrate how special and vital a legacy gift is to future generations. It shows how all life cycles – human and nature – are fed, supported and enriched by what has come before. By choosing to leave a gift to Macmillan now, you can help us provide physical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer in the future.
About the garden
The Macmillan Legacy garden is a circular, rhythmic space which takes inspiration from life cycles and the ever-moving energy within them. It will allow you to experience nature at different life stages, from seedlings to maturity, some flowers are in bud and others have bloomed. The deadwood present in the garden provides an ecosystem, allowing life to carry on.
The circle of life and legacies are interconnected concepts that emphasise the ongoing cycle of giving, impact and renewal. Legacy giving allows individuals to contribute to this cycle by leaving a lasting impact that transcends their own lifetime, benefiting the lives of others and perpetuating positive change for generations to come.
