225g butter, diced
200g dark chocolate, chopped
3 tbsp Camp Chicory & Coffee Essence
3 medium eggs
225g soft light brown sugar
100g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
How to prepare brownies
Let's make it
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C / gas mark 4. Grease and line a 22cm square tin with baking parchment.
Step 2
Melt the butter, chocolate, and Camp in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Cool slightly.
Step 3
Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and thickened. Stir in chocolate mixture.
Step 4
Mix flour and baking powder, sift over brownie mix, and fold gently until just combined.
Step 5
Pour into prepared tin and bake 30–35 mins until a crust forms on top but the centre has a slight wobble.
Step 6
Allow to cool, then cut into 16 squares and serve!
