Our partnership with Bonmarché

High street women’s fashion retailer Bonmarché has been supporting Macmillan since 1999.

Our amazing long-term partnership with Bonmarché is now in its 18th year. Their head office, along with over 320 stores, really put in a lot of effort to fundraise for Macmillan.

One of the great ongoing activities held in stores throughout the year is fashion shows. Bonmarché invites its customers to an exclusive evening of fashion, with drinks and nibbles and a raffle for Macmillan. Some of these have raised more than £1,000 in a night. They also take part in Macmillan’s flagship event, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which raises over £25,000 every year.

In 2017, their annual ‘Go Mad, Go Green’ weekend saw all stores taking part in a weekend of fun activities for their employees and customers, and we were delighted that they raised over £20,000.

Recently, a very brave Bonmarché employee underwent the ‘Brave the Shave’ challenge and had all her hair shaved off, raising over £1,500 for Macmillan.

As part of the partnership, we’re also delighted to have the support of Bonmarché’s official style consultant and TV presenter Mark Heyes. He is fully behind all the events that Bonmarché do to fundraise for Macmillan and helps in any way that he can.

So far, Bonmarché have raised over £3.5 million for Macmillan which they plan to keep adding to by holding more in-store and head office events and exciting challenges.
