Dr Moira Fraser

Director of Policy, Campaigns and Influence

Moira joined Macmillan in 2016. Her team influences policy at government level to meet the changing needs of people living with cancer across the four nations of the UK. Her priorities at Macmillan are support after treatment, the cancer workforce, financial support for people with cancer, support at end of life and ensuring the implementation of the Cancer Strategy for England. 

She has 15 years experience in health, disability, and care in the voluntary sector policy and campaigning work. Most recently, she specialised in social care and needs of unpaid carers including young carers, and played a key role in the development of the Care Act 2014. She has held roles at RNIB, Mind, and Carers Trust, and has a background in psychology and educational research at the Universities of Edinburgh, Exeter and Warwick.
