TONI&GUY |, one of the world’s most established hairdressing brands, is working with Macmillan to launch Strength in Style, a scheme to help improve the quality of hair care on the high street for people affected by cancer.
Drawing on the experience and expertise from the salons and Toni Mascolo himself, Macmillan and TONI&GUY will develop a training programme to ensure that people affected by cancer will have access to a salon in their area where a trained professional can provide specialist support and advice on hair care.
Toni Mascolo says ‘With over two million people living with cancer in the UK, TONI &GUY has the opportunity to have a huge impact on people’s lives. Providing expert care for someone undergoing cancer treatment is something the entire company is passionate to support.’
The training course is taking place during March 2010 and will cover everything a stylist needs to know about speaking to people affected by cancer, the effects of treatment on hair and wig styling and cutting.
Staff across the country will also be fundraising throughout the year to raise money to help Macmillan reach and improve the lives of even more people affected by cancer.
