Sugar free homemade ginger ale
This sugar free ginger ale is quick, easy to make and uses fresh ginger!

Ingredients
6cm ginger root, peeled and grated
juice of 1/2 lemon
1tbsp powdered sweetener or more (depends on your preference)
500ml carbonated water
ice cubs and mint to serve
How to prepare
- Peel and grate the ginger. Place it in a muslin or cheese cloth then squeeze the grated ginger until you have a tablespoon of liquid ginger juice. If you do not have a muslin or cheese cloth, you may be able to use a clean cotton dish towel.
- In a jug or carafe, mix the lemon juice, ginger juice and carbonated water.
- Stir in sweetener, add ice cubs and mint. You may want to add more or less sweetener depending on your taste. Serve immediately.
