Phone and online support
Macmillan Support Line
You can phone the Macmillan Support Line for free on 0808 808 0000, chat with us online or send us an email. We offer confidential support to people living with cancer and their loved ones.
Cancer nurses and information and support advisers are available 7 days a week 8am to 8pm. Money advisers are available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
Interpreter service
We have an interpreter service so you can speak to the Macmillan Support Line team in your language. Just call and tell us, in English, the language you need.
If you need a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter you can arrange an interpreter by emailing us or using our online chat. Watch a video about our other BSL services.
Macmillan Online Community
Our Online Community is available 24 hours a day and has dedicated forums for different cancer types and experiences, including forums for friends and family.
You can also send a question to our experienced professionals. They can help with questions about cancer, money and work, and more.
Macmillan Buddies
Macmillan Buddies service matches you with a trained volunteer for a weekly telephone or video call. Sign up for support.
Macmillan Deaf Cancer Support Project
The Macmillan Deaf Cancer Support Project offers virtual support for anyone living with cancer in the Deaf community. It also supports their carers, including Deaf people who are supporting a hearing person living with cancer.

Information and Support Centres
Macmillan information and support centres are located across the UK and are free to use. They range from centres based in hospitals and libraries through to dedicated cancer support centres.

Macmillan Nurses
Macmillan nurses are specialist nurses that work in different areas of cancer care and treatment. They work in hospitals, hospices and in the community. If a Macmillan nurse is in your area, you will be referred to them by your doctor or nurse.
Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors
Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors are trained to give free advice to help you cope with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists
Boots Macmillan information pharmacists are specially trained to understand the different types of cancer and treatment and answer your questions about medication. They can connect you to local cancer support services.
Macmillan Will Writing Service
With our Free Will Service, you can have your will written for free by one of our trusted will writing partners or solicitors. You can leave a gift in your will with Macmillan, but this is optional. This free service is available all year.

We have online information about all types of cancer, including diagnosis, treatments and drugs, as well as advice to help with the different ways cancer may impact your life. All our cancer information is written and reviewed by experts.
Booklets and resources
Our information booklets are for everyone affected by cancer. You can view them online or order copies through Macmillan Orders. We also share cancer information in videos, blogs and real-life stories.
Translations and accessible formats
Macmillan produces a range of information in 16 languages and other languages on request.
We produce information in alternative formats including audiobooks, easy read booklets and British Sign Language videos.

Email support from diagnosis
