The Corporate Volunteer Award

for corporate partners who make an outstanding contribution through volunteering

About this award

This award is for employees of our corporate partners who make an outstanding contribution to people affected by cancer through their volunteering. These individuals and groups go above and beyond to give us their time, inside and/or outside of work, as well as making a difference through their organisation's partnership with us.

2017 winner's story coming soon.

2016 UK winner - Kimberly Bell
The extraordinary support on the high street

Kimberly gives her all as both a support volunteer, and lead volunteer at the Macmillan drop-in service at the Boots store - where she also works as a Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisor.

These roles see her providing information, support, and a listening ear to people affected by cancer, as well as offering mentoring, guidance and motivation to other volunteers.
Kimberly has been instrumental in improving access to the drop-in service. She’s used her initiative to spread the word among local businesses. She’s arranged for service leaflets to be included with all repeat prescriptions, reaching some of the community’s most socially isolated people as a result. Kimberly has even given up her time at weekends to help paint and decorate the drop-in service area.

Whether she’s dealing with service users or fellow volunteers, Kimberly always goes out of her way to make sure everyone is treated with kindness and respect. With her limitless positivity and enthusiasm, she makes a massive difference to the lives of people affected by cancer every day.
