The Challenge

Battle Cancer is a fitness fundraising event series for teams of four. 

The goal is to hit 20,000 reps in 90 minutes across two rounds of five fitness stations where you will bike, row, run and lift. A rep is a metre moved, weight lifted, rep completed or £1 raised.

The challenge is the same across our host cities from Miami to London to Dubai, with comparable global leader boards so we can crown winning teams the fittest fundraisers in the world.

With two divisions there’s a place for all fitness levels and abilities. Together, we can change lives through fitness.

Don’t have a full team of four? The Maverick division allows you to register as an individual, pair or trio. We'll then team Mavericks up into teams of four in the lead-up to the event.

There’ll also be a live DJ, dance floor, fancy dress, homemade signs, cheering staff and face glitter make for an exhilarating day of fitness and fundraising celebration!

The Workouts

As a team, you will face an endurance test of 2 rounds of 5 stations where you’ll work to complete as many reps as possible for 5 minutes followed by 4 minutes rest, 10 times.

The fitness stations are made up of accessible machines and movements:

Round 1

• Station 01: Air Bike - max meters
• Station 02: Synchro Deadlift - max reps
• Station 03: Rower - max meters
• Station 04: Synchro Burpee - max reps
• Station 05: Air Runner - max meters.

Round 2

• Station 01: Air Bike - max meters
• Station 02: Synchro Dumbbell Snatch - max reps
• Station 03: Rower - max meters
• Station 04: Synchro Sandbag over shoulder - max reps
• Station 05: Air Runner - max meters.

The Fundraising

Your first workout isn't to do with any fitness. It doesn't even take place on competition day - it starts as soon as you sign up!

You and your team will try your hardest to Fundraise As Much As Possible (Fundraising AMRAP), to earn a leg up on the Leaderboard ahead of the five workouts on event day.

Team Divisions

Battle Cancer’s Challenge and Compete divisions mean anyone can take part regardless of age and ability. The teams can be all-male, all-female, or mixed. Or enter individually in the Maverick division to be paired up with a team.

Challenge Division:

For first timers looking to challenge themselves - take on the challenge for FUN and set your own pace. Movements can be modified where needed.

Compete Division:

For competitive teams looking to test athletic performance - take on the challenge to WIN. For experienced teams, added obstacles and a weighted point system make for a tougher battle.

Donations make up 98% of our annual income so we simply couldn't do what we do without you.

Please make sure you read our Terms and Conditions before signing up. You must be 18 years of age or above on the day of the event to take part.

Battle Cancer welcome adaptive athletes and those with restricted movement. Workouts will be adapted to ensure inclusivity and you will be able to provide adaptive athlete details after registering with Macmillan. The venue has disabled and no step access.
