For how to do this and more information on how to donate to Macmillan. Thanks to the generosity of local people who support Macmillan, local people affected by cancer and their families are being helped by a range of services including more than 30 Macmillan nurses and specialists such as a pharmacist helping people in hospitals and in the community throughout Cumbria and Lancashire. Macmillan has also funded a GP facilitator who works with the primary care teams to improve palliative care services throughout the area.
People living with cancer and their carers can also receive care, support and information through the Macmillan Unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. In addition a Macmillan information and support manager based at the Macmillan Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital offers help and advice to people worried about any aspect of cancer.
We need your continuing support to help us reach everyone affected by cancer in Cumbria and Lancashire.
